'Silence' at UML MP's rostrum on criticism of policies and programs

Criticizing the policies and programs of the government for the next financial year, the MPs of UML have remained silent on the rostrum. UML MP Chandra Bahadur Biswakarma, who is leading the government, remained silent on the rostrum while participating in the discussion on policies and programs and gave critical support.

Vishwakarma, who got five minutes to participate in the discussion on policies and programs in the Friday meeting of the House of Representatives, kept silent as his response.

'The President addressed the policy and program of the Government of Nepal for the fiscal year 2082/83 in this House on May 19. After that speech, his response is being widely discussed in this dignified parliament,' he said, 'I have also been present here to give that response . So I want to respond .' MP Vishwakarma was silent about this.

He spoke for the first one minute out of the five minutes he got from the Speaker and remained silent the rest of the time. When his allotted time was up, he left the rostrum to say thank you.

MP Vishwakarma says that the reason for doing so is criticism of policies and programs. He argues that although attention has been paid to physical infrastructure development in policies and programs, social development has been neglected. The state has given priority to physical infrastructure development. Material development helps social development but the main thing is social development . He was raising the matter for social development. Leaders have also made speeches. It is also in the party's documents,' he said, 'but when it comes to the policies and programs of the state, it is overshadowed . Since they did not get policies and programs that pay attention to social development along with physical development, they gave silent support.'

MP Vishwakarma said that even though the system has changed in Nepal, it is necessary to change the traditional practice. He said that the policy and programs are being discussed in the parliament, but the budget preparation work has been completed, so he had to protest silently. 'Policy and program are being submitted to the parliament and are being discussed, on the other hand, the budget has been prepared . After passing the policy and program, the budget should be passed,' he said.

MP Vishwakarma says that he had to remain silent because he did not get a policy and program to end caste discrimination. He said that he had to remain silent because the policies and programs did not define landless, squatters, and poverty.
