While crossing the road, 54-year-old Dolprasad Chaulagai was hit by a vehicle. Chaulagai, who suffered severe head, chest and rib injuries due to the collision of the vehicle, is being treated at Green City Hospital.
Chaulagai was hit by a bus number Ba 4 B 8793 on the ring road near the hospital at around 1 o'clock in the afternoon on Thursday when he was returning to his wife by cutting the road.
'Mama's grandfather had a hernia operation in this hospital. Father arrived when mother (Dolprasad's wife) was returning from visiting his grandfather,' Sujan Choulagain, son of Dolprasad, who was found in front of the operation room of Green City Hospital, said, 'Dolprasad's father was hit by a car while returning from crossing the road.'
Dolprasad has a cosmetic shop in the new bus park. Dol Prasad's family, who worked abroad for 15 years, is now the only source of income from this shop. "Father worked in Dubai and Bahrain and taught us two sons and one sister," said Sujan, "what happened to our family when we had to rest."
Chaulagai family who came from Kavre to Kathmandu since 20 years have been living in a rented house in Manmanju. Dolprasad reached the hospital in the morning with his renewed passport. Since his daughter is from Australia, he renewed his passport in preparation for going to the place where his daughter was after some time.
