Senior Superintendent of Police Ramesh Thapa has been given the responsibility of central police spokesperson. Today, the police head office gave the responsibility to Thapa, who is working in the secretariat of the Inspector General of Police.

According to the Secretariat, Thapa has been appointed as a spokesperson to communicate the public affairs activities of the Nepal Police in a realistic and factual manner to the media.

Meanwhile, the police have arrested 28-year-old Dipendra Mahat, a resident of Dhurkot rural municipality-3 of Gulmi, on the charge of defrauding the money by saying that he will send it to Romania by showing attractive salary for foreign employment.

Mahat absconded after collecting Rs 950,000 from six victims in the name of foreign employment. The police team deployed from Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office, Teku arrested him from Kathmandu Metropolitan City-15. The police said that he has been sent to Foreign Employment Department, Tahachal, Kathmandu for necessary investigation and action.
