Left wing leader Pradeep Nepal's funeral will be held today. Nepal died on Tuesday afternoon during treatment. His body has been taken to Pashupati Aryaghat from Narvik International Hospital in Thapathali. According to family sources, he will be cremated in an electric crematorium.
Even though he is the leader of UML, the tribute program will not be held according to his wish. Bhishma Adhikari, secretary of the UML central office, said, 'He had expressed his wish that the party should not hold a memorial program with the family members. His funeral will be held accordingly. Party leaders will participate in person. Being a former minister, the government gave some respect from its side. '
Nepal was admitted to the hospital for a few days but was transferred to the ICU on Monday. He was suffering from Parkinson's disease for a long time. Lately, along with Parkinson's, pneumonia was also seen. He also became the Information and Communication Minister in the Manmohan Adhikari-led government.
