Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has strongly criticized the government. He accused the government of being controlled by interest groups and middlemen rather than serving the people.
"The electricity of the poor is cut off, but the billions owed by the industrialists are not collected," he said while addressing the Parliament, "this anomaly has caused public anger." He warned that due to the insensitivity of the government, democracy is in crisis and regressive forces have gained strength.
Mentioning that democracy itself has been put in crisis by the government's working style, he said, 'The anger of social media may spill over into the streets tomorrow.' He said that there is political interference and the influence of middlemen in public institutions.
President Dahal claimed that the formation of the government was for the interests of a limited class, saying that there was no evidence that the government had improved in any way during its 10-month tenure. 'When the members of the power system start talking publicly that middlemen have access to the Prime Minister's bedroom, that is a serious moral collapse of the government,' he said.
During the Tarai-Madhesh Hulaki Marg campaign, he said that there was dissatisfaction and anger among the people. He said that there was anger towards misrule and a desire for social justice, equality and development. He stressed on making the policies and programs people-oriented, inclusive and production-oriented and gave the message that the element of reversing history from advanced democracy should be defeated.
