Rashtriya Swatantra Party (RASWPA) MP Ganesh Parajuli, when will Geetendrababu (GB) Rai, the president of Gorkha Media Network involved in cooperative fraud, be arrested and brought to Nepal? He raised the question.
Speaking at the meeting of the House of Representatives on Monday, MP Parajuli objected to Rai not being arrested even after 10 months of government formation. He also accused the government of not arresting Rai because he was afraid that his own party workers involved in government fraud would be caught.
He also reminded that RSWP has been constantly raising the issue of cooperative victims and suggested the government to return the victims' money last year.
MP Parajuli said, 'It has been 10 months since your party-led government was formed. When will Geetendrababu (GB) Rai be arrested and brought to Nepal? People are asking the same question. According to the information that came out, only 7 billion out of 16 billion was heard by Rai who brought and paid. Rumors are spreading among the people that Rai was not arrested so that the remaining shareholders of 9 billion would not be made public. Is it true?'
He added, 'RASWPA has not only raised its voice about the problem of cooperatives, it has also suggested to the government to return the money of the victims last year.'
MP Parajuli drew the attention of the government with a warning to bring the people involved in co-operative fraud to the legal court and return the savings of the victims.
