Water Minister Pradeep Yadav has promised to end the situation of having to move settlements due to lack of drinking water. He said that every Nepali citizen is moving forward with the determination to have safe drinking water in their homes.
Minister Yadav said in a program held on Sunday in Sri Antu Samalbung, Eelam, that the government's priority is to solve the problems caused by the lack of clean drinking water.
'Due to the problem of food and water, in some parts of the country, citizens have to move their settlements. The government has put forward a solid plan to solve the problem of drinking water. We will end the situation of having to move settlements for drinking water,' he said.
Minister Yadav also said that in the coming fiscal year 2082/83, there is a plan to provide clean and quality drinking water to all citizens and to achieve the goal of sustainable development by increasing investment in sanitation. "There is a plan to improve the access to water by repairing the broken water supply projects and incomplete water supply projects due to the disaster and operating the water supply project in an integrated manner with the support of the local level and the consumers," he said. I will surely deliver clean and quality drinking water to the citizens.'
Telling about the effort to complete the incomplete water supply project, he added, 'Since I took over the ministry, the incomplete water supply projects in the past have been completed . Pure drinking water is now being distributed from Singha Darbar to remote areas.'
