The medical association which has been protesting since 11th of Baisakh returned to work after agreeing with the government on Saturday. The Safe Workplace Struggle Committee for Health Workers informed that there is no agreement with them and said that the movement is still ongoing . "We are forced to continue our agitation programs when we have not received the salary as decided by the sixteenth full meeting of the Medical Education Commission dated 2081/10/25 for about 3 months and no concrete steps have been taken to implement it except for giving instructions from time to time," the committee said in a statement on Saturday night. On the call of the Safe Workplace Struggle Committee for Health Workers, residents and other doctors studying in various medical colleges of Nepal should get subsistence allowance equal to the eighth level of monthly salary (48 thousand) and the duration of duty should be fixed. Sanjay Baral said.
