The corridor of hilly Kaligand has been blocked due to landslides on the road since last night's rain.

The highway has been blocked since Sunday morning due to a landslide near Gaindakot Municipality-3 Winter River in East Nawalparasi.

According to the local police office, Gaindakot, a team of police sub-inspectors has been sent to the spot due to continuous mud falling in that section under the Kaligandaki corridor. The police said that the vehicle passing through the corridor of Kaligand was stopped.

Since then, when the highway is blocked at the bottom of the Butwal-Narayangadh road section under the Mahendra Highway, small vehicles pass through this corridor of Kaligand.

This highway connects to the Butwal Syangja road through Rampur and Pipaldanda in Palpa's hilly terrain of eastern Nawalvarasi via Gandakot.
