Government failed in corruption control and good governance: Koirala

Nepali Congress leader Shekhar Koirala has said that the Oli-led government has completely failed in corruption control and good governance.

When the government of two big parties was formed, 7 points were agreed on including constitutional amendment, good governance, corruption free. The government has completely failed in that,' he said.

He said that the government that was able to appoint a new governor even after two months of the term of the governor could not be able to maintain good governance. Said, 'What else can the government expect to provide good governance that a governor cannot provide at the time ?'

Even though the Nepali Congress joined the government, Koirala insisted that since the government is under the leadership of the UML president, the main responsibility for it is UML.

Congress leader Shekhar Koirala, while speaking at a press conference organized by Nepal Press Union Nawalpur branch in Kawasoti on Saturday, emphasized that the congress must be completed by next November. He said, 'Congress session cannot be moved . There is no particular reason to move. If the convention is not held by November 20, the party will end . There is no situation in which the convention has to be moved or the convention cannot be held at the appointed time.'
