The Congress has decided to support the budget policies and programs brought by the government with positive views and constructive suggestions.
The Saturday meeting of the Congress Parliamentary Party stated that the policy and program for the financial year 2082/083 is directed towards achieving economic prosperity by promoting good governance, keeping Nepal's priorities at the center, and making Nepal's role effective and strong in national and international forums.
However, in the meeting of the parliamentary party, some MPs criticized that the policies and programs against the spirit of the United Government were not brought. "This meeting requests Nepal Sakar to prepare the annual development program (budget) for the coming fiscal year 2082/83 so that the programs presented in the policy program of the fiscal year 2082/083 presented by the government are completed," said the decision issued after the party's meeting.
Noting that the Congress is committed to the implementation of the 9-point agreement between the government and the Nepal Teachers' Federation, the meeting resolved to present itself seriously, responsibly and effectively to the Parliament and its subject committees. When the parliamentarians in the parliament and thematic committees are being criticized for not attending the meeting and being irresponsible, the Congress meeting has instructed all the parliamentarians to be responsible and active in all the activities of the parliament and their thematic committees.
The Congress has condemned the incident in which 26 people including Nepali citizen Sudip Neupane were killed in the terrorist incident in Pahalgam, Kashmir.
has also requested the government to take a diplomatic initiative for an independent and impartial investigation into the death of Prisha Sah, a Nepali student studying at the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology in Odisha state, India on 18th Baisakh, and to ensure the safety of all Nepali students studying in the educational institution.
