Mahimansingh Bista, the officer of the Supreme Court's case and writ division, has been detained by the Kathmandu District Court for four days for investigation.

Judge Padmaraj Pandey of Kathmandu District Court has granted extension of time to Bista. District Police Complex Kathmandu SP and Spokesperson Appelraj Bohra informed that the police are investigating the criminal charges against him. 

Bista was arrested by the police on Wednesday after it was confirmed that he had written an unauthorized letter to arrest Resham Chaudhary, the patron of Civil Liberation Party (Naupa).
