Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) foreign chief Vijay Chathaiwale, who is visiting Nepal, met with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday.

Prime Minister Oli's secretariat informed that various issues of mutual relations and interests between the two countries were discussed in the meeting held at the Prime Minister's residence, Baluwatar.

Chathaiwale met Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Thursday evening.

This visit seems to have taken place in the background of the terrorist attack on tourism which killed 26 people including Nepalis in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir last week. Chathaiwale has tried to maintain the support of Nepal's leaders against terrorism.

India has taken various tough diplomatic steps against Pakistan. It has increased the tension between the two countries. As the tension between India and Pakistan increases, Chathaiwale has tried to convey the message that Nepal and its leaders should stand by India against terrorism.
