Preparation of decisive talks between the government and the protesting teachers

A decisive dialogue is being prepared between the government and the protesting teachers today. Both sides are currently involved in internal discussions.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Education Shiv Kumar Sapkota informed that the final talks are being prepared today with an agreement to address the demands of the protesting teachers. Teachers have been demonstrating on the streets of Kathmandu for 28 days.  According to

spokesperson Sapkota, the talks are scheduled to take place after 3 pm on Wednesday. "We are preparing for decisive talks," he said.

Teachers' Federation is also having a meeting in Baneshwar. According to sources, the government is making a commitment to issue the Education Act with a schedule and an agreement is being reached to suspend the agitation. Likewise, preparations are being made to conduct the Class-12 examination on the scheduled date.
