They returned after some teachers raised slogans against the leader of United Socialist Party and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalnath Khanal, who had reached the protest site to show support for the teachers' movement.

After the police intervened in the protest of the teachers on Sunday, socialist leaders including Nepal, Khanal, former Education Minister Gangalal Tuladhar reached Baneshwar. Officials of the Teachers' Federation have said that although the program for the leaders to express solidarity with the movement has been fixed, they have returned to this.

They met with the leadership including Federation President Laxmikishore Subedi and held the opinion that there is support for the movement and that the government should meet the demands of the teachers.

For 27 days, the teachers have been demonstrating from Maitighar to Baneshwar area. The pressure on the government to take quick steps to address their demands is increasing.
