Congress MP Rajendra Bajgai has made a dozen suggestions for improving the civil aviation sector.

Congress MP Bajgai raised questions on the working style of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey and suggested to improve the civil aviation sector of Nepal. He has suggested that 'security first' recognition should be adopted at the airport. He said that strict security and inspection standards should be implemented at the airport. He suggested that there should be clarity on refunds, delays and grievance redressal for passengers and strict procedures should be adopted for pilots, crew and airlines.

Bajgai also suggests that there should be strict regulation along with modernization of air traffic control system, promotion of private investment. 'There should be clear rules for airport and flight security, monopoly prevention and fare regulation, emission reduction and promotion of green technology, drone and UAV operations,' he suggested, 'adoption of independent and transparent accident investigation process, adherence to international aviation agreements, promotion of drones, flying taxis and green fuel.'

He said that Nepal's Ministry of Aviation is seen as a ministry with great expectations of innovation and improvement. According to MP Bajgai, the minister should be careful to finalize the proposed bill based on the spirit of international conventions and recommendations of ICAO.

Bajgai said that the image of the Nepali aviation sector can be improved at the international level only through clear action plans and practical decisions as soon as possible.
