The parliamentarians have protested against the government's suppression of the protesting teachers. During the zero time available in today's sitting of the House of Representatives, the MPs on Sunday expressed their displeasure, accusing the government of using force during the peaceful protest of the teachers.

They strongly demanded that the government should address the legitimate demands of the teachers through dialogue and create conditions for the start of enrollment and teaching.

MP Prakash Jwala requested the government to address the just demands of the protesting teachers as soon as possible. "Instead of addressing the demands of the agitating teachers, the government is abusing the state power and oppressing the agitators. I condemn the government's suppression of the movement, said MP Jwala. He also drew attention to the doctors' movement, demanding to ensure the safety of journalists.

MP Dolprasad Aryal accused the government of oppressing the protesting teachers and showing their power. "The RSP wants to draw serious attention to the oppression of teachers yesterday," said MP Aryal. He suggested that the upcoming budget should address Budhi Gandaki hydropower project.

MP Dilendra Prasad Badu urged the government to be sensitive, responsible and restrained towards the agitating parties.

Similarly, MPs Dig Bahadur Limbu, Narayan Prasad Acharya, Dev Prasad Timilsina, Nainkala Thapa, MP Devendra Paudel, Purna Bahadur Gharti expressed their solidarity with the teachers' just demands and emphasized that a solution should be found through dialogue.

At zero time of the meeting, MP Tara Lama Tamang drew the attention of all the concerned parties of the state to keep the resources ready to reduce the damage that may occur due to the possible disaster flood and landslide during the rainy season.

Another MP Dr. Tosima Karki warned that Chobhar's gully is becoming narrow and many places in Lalitpur may be flooded. She immediately drew the attention of the government through the speaker to create a situation for stone extraction to widen the gully. MP Nisha Dangi stressed on the implementation of the vision of Digital Nepal.

MP Deepak Bahadur Singh drew the attention of the government to reduce corruption. MPs Nagina Yadav, Pushpa Bahadur Shah and Pratima Gautam objected saying that the statement that Nepali Congress joint general minister's son was involved in the robbery of Bhatbhateni supermarket in Koteshwar on 15th of Chait, was baseless. They said that Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) President Rajendra Lingden should withdraw his unsubstantiated and baseless accusations.

Similarly, MP Thakur Prasad Gayre demanded to provide relief to the families of the dead and to provide relief to the injured in the accident that occurred in Siddheshwar in Palpa district on Sunday night.
