The budget session of the Federal Parliament has started on Friday. In the first meeting, the leaders raised issues such as teachers' movement, co-operative fraud, and violent incidents during the demonstration by the royalists in Tinkune area on 15 Chait.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli was scheduled to address on the first day of the convention. Although he was present in Parliament, his address was postponed. Pushpa Kamal Dahal, chairman of the main opposition Maoist party, was absent as he was in Barpak, Gorkha. Sher Bahadur Deuba, the president of the largest party in the parliament, did not attend the meeting even though he was in Kathmandu. He arrived in Kathmandu from Bangkok at 12 noon. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba, who arrived in Kathmandu from Bangkok, attended the Parliament meeting. In the

meeting, Congress Chief Whip Shyam Ghimire said that the delay in the lawmaking is causing protests on the streets. In the country, teachers, doctors, movement of co-operative victims, warnings of civil servants, some are related to the legislature, some are directly related to the government. I apologize for the delay in the legislative work," he said. "Now the government must meet the demands that can be met immediately. Accepting the law making process should proceed. I also request the agitating party to be patient for some time.

MP Gokarn Bista, who is also the secretary of UML, emphasized that this session of the Parliament should be made result-oriented in order to instill hope in the citizens. Mentioning that the disputes going on in the parliament are also increasing the frustration of the citizens, he asked them to take care of the fact that the forces that want chaos and instability are active by showing the dissatisfaction of the citizens. He insisted that the current government did not bring the problems in the country. 

Multifaceted problems have arisen in the country. Some of the problems are due to the global economy and some of the problems are internal. These problems did not arise during the 9 months of this government," he said. "It is necessary to bring the policies and programs and budget of the government for the next financial year to solve the problems seen in the country."

Maoist Deputy General Secretary and Member of Parliament Barshman Pun claimed that the government led by Prime Minister Oli was built and operated by middlemen and interest groups. He criticized the government mentioning that there is manipulation regarding the appointment of the governor of the National Bank as well as the officials of the Securities Board and Insurance Authority. We came saying that this government was made by interest groups and middlemen. The behavior of the government one after the other has confirmed it," said Pun, the former finance minister. "Today, not only us, the chief minister of the ruling party, the member of the government management system said that the middleman has access to the prime minister's bed."
