Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that peace is the greatest need today. He said this while addressing the 4th Asian Buddhist Cultural Festival in Lumbini on Saturday.

He mentioned that now the clouds of war are gathering and said, 'Isn't the world heading towards war?' He said that he was afraid. He mentioned that the need for peace is indispensable for that.

Prime Minister Oli said, 'Enough military power to wage war, to mobilize military power, weapons that can be struck from all places, land and sky, war can be fought everywhere, weapons have been built. Dangerous weapons have been manufactured. This is a challenge to world peace. It needs to be stopped. I would like to say, peace cannot be established by arms, by war. War after war, war upon war, violence upon violence, violence upon even greater violence, and destruction upon destruction, there is no possibility of peace. For this reason, the aspiration for peace of conscious and peace-loving people around the world is important.'

Prime Minister Oli said that peace will not be achieved by adding war to war and violence to violence.
