Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's address to the Parliament on Friday has been postponed. The Prime Minister's address was stopped as the leader of the main opposition party and Chairman of the Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal was absent.

When the Prime Minister addresses the Parliament, it is a tradition that the leaders of the main opposition parties are present.

UML chief whip Mahesh Bertaula informed that the Prime Minister's address has been postponed as the leader of the main opposition party, Dahal, will be absent.

"The agenda of the Prime Minister's address was fixed in the presence of the leaders of other parties including the leader of the main opposition party," he said, "since the leader of the main opposition party went to Gorkha and will be absent, the Prime Minister's address was not given." "Maoist, the main opposition party, does not seem to understand the importance of parliament and make a program," he said.

According to him, the Prime Minister's address was decided based on the discussion held in the Parliament's Working Arrangements Committee meeting, but the address was postponed due to the absence of the Maoist Chairman.

Chief Whip of Maoist Center Hitraj Pandey said that Chairman Dahal's program to go to Gorkha on Gorkha Earthquake Day has already been decided.

"I met the Speaker and informed him that President Gorkha is going to Barpak," he said, "but at the request of the UML, the Speaker has fixed the time for the Prime Minister's address."
