The budget session of the Federal Parliament is starting today. The first meeting of both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly has been called for 1 pm today. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is going to address the meeting of the House of Representatives today.
The Prime Minister's Secretariat has informed that there is an agenda for the Prime Minister to address the House of Representatives. But the program to be addressed by the Prime Minister is not mentioned in the possible agenda of the Parliament Secretariat. The Prime Minister's Secretariat has said that Prime Minister Oli is scheduled to address contemporary issues at the beginning of the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday.
Although there is a program to be addressed by the Prime Minister, the leader of the main opposition party Pushpa Kamal Dahal will be absent from the Parliament on the first day of the budget session. Dahal has reached Barpak to participate in the event marking the 10th anniversary of the Gorkha earthquake on Friday.
"The government recommended calling a meeting of the Parliament without coordinating with us". On the day the meeting started, the prime minister gave an address and the information was given late," said Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey, "Speaker Dahal will not be allowed to participate in Friday's meeting of the Parliament."
Besides, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Paudel has an agenda to ask permission to present Alternative Development Finance Mobilization Bill 2081 in the House of Representatives on Friday.
