The Nepal Trade Union Congress has demanded the government to be serious about their demands and resolve them immediately, saying that public school teachers across the country are protesting at the call of the Nepal Teachers' Federation. Ajay Kumar Rai, the general secretary of the trade union, made such a demand to the government through a statement on Friday, saying that there is solidarity in the teachers' movement.
Trade Union Congress, the National Federation of Democratic Professional Associations, has drawn the attention of the government saying that even the Supreme Court has already addressed the demands of the teachers and ordered to create an environment to return to school.
'To address the demands of agitating teachers through meaningful dialogue and We strongly request the government of Nepal to immediately prepare an environment for teachers to return to work,' General Secretary Rai said in a statement. He also called on the political parties to put pressure on the government to solve this problem.
'Nepal Trade Union Congress is always with the teachers regarding the rights, rights and dignity of the teaching profession. If no initiative is taken by the government to find an immediate solution to this problem, even the Nepal Trade Union Congress will be forced to take to the streets in solidarity with the teachers' movement and internationalize this issue,' the statement said.
