The Supreme Court has issued an interim order in the name of the government to meet the demands of the teachers within three days and create an environment for teaching and learning.
The bench of Judge Nahkul Subedi gave this order on Thursday. It is said in the order that "the opposition bodies shall make a proper and necessary decision regarding the immediate response to the legitimate and constitutional demands of the teachers and ensure that the agitating teachers return to the school within three days from the date of receipt of this order for regular teaching".
The Supreme Court has also said to prevent the creation of a situation where the results of the SEE Board cannot be published on time due to the agitating teachers by making necessary and appropriate arrangements. The order also said that the class 12 exam should not be held on time and that the future of lakhs of students would be in doubt. The Supreme Court has also ordered the Ministry of Education to submit a report on the progress of implementation of the order on the fourth day from the date of receipt of the order.
