The ninth district convention of Nepal Communist Party (Unified Socialist) Palpa has formed a 57-member district committee under the chairmanship of Ashok Kumar Shahi.

The former mayor of Tansen Municipality was nominated as the chairman after the death of Kamal Pandey, the former district president of Shahi Samajwadi Party. The convention has again given the responsibility of chairman to Shahi.  Mohanlal Gayre and Binita Luitel have been elected as vice presidents of

committee, Jagannath Nepal as secretary and Top Bahadur Zargha, Padam Prasad Gayre and Mahesh Baral as deputy secretaries. In the

convention, the representatives of the people's organizations affiliated to the party and the leaders of various levels of the party were present. Deputy General Secretary of the party Metmani Chaudhary addressed the convention.
