The Nepal Medical Association has warned that if their demands are not met within 24 hours, they will stop all services except for emergency and intensive care services across the country from Friday.

President Dr. Anil Bikram Karki issued a statement after the meeting of the Union and the protesting doctors on Wednesday and warned that if the demands are not met within the specified time frame, they will be forced to stop the entire health service. Since the government did not follow the previous decisions and agreements, there is a situation where the movement needs to be strengthened. He mentioned in the statement .

All the agitating doctors from all over the country will gather at the relevant district administration office from 10 am to 12 pm on Thursday and all the doctors of the valley will be present at Maitighar and the association has called on the Ministry of Health and Population to be surrounded. Similarly, all doctors working in private medical colleges have been asked to quit their jobs and join the struggle except for their emergency and intensive care services.

In the meeting of the working group of the 18th meeting of the Medical Education Commission, President Karki has mentioned in the statement that it is sad that there has been no initiative by the government so far, even though the decision of the 16th meeting should be implemented and the protesting doctors should be called to honorable work.

It is said that the medical association is shocked that the state has shown indifference to address the demands of the doctors for the past 28 days .
