UML MP Raghuji Pant has been appointed as Minister of Education, Science and Technology. On the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, President Ramchandra Poudel appointed Pant as the Minister of Education on Wednesday. Pant was appointed to fill the vacant post after Education Minister Vidya Bhattarai resigned from the post on Monday.
Basant Prasad Panthi, the Assistant Spokesperson of the President's Office, has informed through a statement that President Ramchandra Paudel formed the Council of Ministers on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on the recommendation of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in accordance with Article 76 (9) of the existing Council of Ministers formed on 31 August 2081. .
The newly appointed Minister Pant will be sworn in at 4 pm on Thursday, the President's Office said.
On Wednesday, Prime Minister Oli dismissed the Minister of State for Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation Purna Bahadur (Kancharam) Tamang. Oli dismissed the state minister Tamang for speaking against him.
