A meeting was held between the Deputy Prime Minister and Urban Development Minister Prakashman Singh and the Indian Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister Manoharlal Khattar.
Minister Khattar paid a courtesy call on Deputy Prime Minister Singh on Wednesday at the Ministry of Urban Development. In the meeting, the interests of the two countries, mutual relations and cooperation in the field of urbanization were discussed.
'There was a positive discussion about India's recent progress in the field of urban development, waste management and urban transport and cooperation in the future,' said Gopal Sigdel, secretary of the Ministry of Urban Development, after the meeting. He also informed that an MoU is being prepared between the governments of Nepal and India for the exchange of experience in urbanization and the mobilization of aid, and once it is agreed upon, formal cooperation between the two countries in the field of urban development will proceed .
