The process of bringing the body of Nepali Sudeep Neupane, who died in the attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, India, has started. According to the Nepali Embassy in New Delhi, his body will be brought to Butwal by midnight today via Delhi-Lucknow.
27-year-old Sudeep Neupane of Butwal sub-metropolitan city-14 was killed in a terrorist attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. According to the embassy, the deceased and 4 people with him are being brought to New Delhi by plane from Srinagar at 5 pm.
According to Sanjiv Sharma, consul of the embassy, they will be taken to the airport in Lucknow through a flight from Delhi at 9:30 pm. According to him, the plane will land at Lucknow airport at 10:40 pm. From there, the Indian security agencies have decided to bring them to the Nepalese border and hand them over to the Nepali authorities. After that, the body will be handed over to the family.
27 people including Sudeep were killed in the terrorist attack. Among the dead are tourists from the Indian states of Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Odisha, along with a citizen of the United Arab Emirates. This is the biggest attack in Jammu and Kashmir after Pulwama attack in 2019. At that time 40 CRPF jawans were killed.
