District Court Kathmandu has extended the term of 24 people including 'Commander' Durga Prasain and RP Senior Vice President Ravindra Mishra, who were arrested during the violent protest of royalists in Tinkune on Chait 15.
According to SP Apilraj Bohra, Police Spokesperson of the District Police Complex, 24 people who are under investigation for crimes against the state have been extended by the court for 3 days.
Durga Prasain said that she is a cancer patient and she is taking medication under the doctor's supervision and Rabindra Mishra has applied for necessary medical examination and treatment according to the doctor's recommendation, so the Kathmandu District Court has instructed to make appropriate treatment arrangements for them. Accordingly, they have been asked to inform the investigation officer and the district attorney's office about whether they can be released or kept in custody.
During the violent demonstration of royalists, two people died. The police are investigating the movement's commander Durga Prasai, RPP's senior vice president Mishra and other 84 people in jail.
