National Assembly member Vamdev Gautam has said that all land should be nationalized. Speaking at the meeting of the Development, Economic Affairs and Good Governance Committee under the National Assembly on Tuesday, he insisted that the country cannot be developed until the entire land of Nepal is nationalized and it is not progressed in a planned manner.
According to him, the entire land of Nepal should be nationalized and a blueprint of development should be drawn according to the needs.
He insisted that it is not possible to solve the problems of basic needs existing in the country by just discussing. He argued that those who will be the Prime Minister should be called in the discussion and promised to hold their ears if they fail to work.
He said, 'First, the entire land of the country had to be brought in the name of the state. Then had to sit down and make a plan. This will not happen unless there is a position to plan and implement whatever is needed, from drinking water to schools. If we want to have this discussion, we should bring those who will be the prime minister and make them promise that if I can't do it, I will hold my ear and sit down a hundred times. If they cannot solve the problem, then they are not fit to be the Prime Minister of the country. The common people should be told that the solution to the problem is to be done in this way, they could not do it. Now we can't move forward until we can work in a basic way.'
Gautam insists that the system of holding individual land should be ended forever.
