Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that his government had to face the siege because it raised issues of nationalism and progress.
Speaking at a program organized on Tuesday on the occasion of the founding day of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Prime Minister Oli claimed that he had to become the star of criticism while trying to do good.
He said, 'You don't have to do anything wrong to get scolded. The corrupters of the society, the criminals, those who seek to harm the nation, have laid the heaviest siege against those who seek to do good for the nation. Different kinds of forces are joining it.'
Prime Minister Oli expressed his displeasure saying that the leaders of the UML also doubted their own leadership. He said, 'The opponents carry out organized attacks. Our friends sometimes speak with suspicion that there is so much opposition. Are you trying to be confused?'
He said that the reason why foreign powers did not support CPN (UML) was that the party raised the issue of nationality. He said, 'Various types of foreign forces have not supported our party. I am facing opposition by raising the question of nationality. I have become a star of criticism by raising people's issues. Should we look for a leader who is not subject to criticism?'
Prime Minister Oli said that if he leaves the issues he is raising, he will get respect from all places. If I stop speeding, they will scream. But that is not our path. We have come with the aim of great change.'
