Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has instructed the National Examination Board to postpone the Class 12 exam.

The Prime Minister's Secretariat informed that the Prime Minister asked the Chairman of the Board Mahashram Sharma and Education Secretary Deepak Kafle to postpone the examination by a few days.

Education Secretary Kafle said that he has returned from meeting the Prime Minister and will hold a board meeting to decide on the examination. There is a possibility that the board meeting will postpone the exam scheduled from May 11.

Since March 20, while the teachers have continued their agitation centered on Kathmandu, the examination was thrown into confusion after Education Minister Vidya Bhattarai resigned on Monday.

The Nepal Teachers' Federation, which has been protesting for 21 days, has been appealing to teachers and employees not to participate in the examination.
