The identity of the four people who died in Taplejung when a jeep hit an electric wire on the road has been identified.

According to the District Police Office, , the driver Durga Bhattarai, 42, of Fungling Municipality-10, Taplejung, 16-year-old Adhya Acharya, of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality-10, Vinod Paudel, 70, of Bhadrapur Municipality-15, Jhapa, and his wife, 69-year-old Sarita Paudel, are among those who died in the accident. Now preparations are being made to pick up the body of the deceased and bring it to the district hospital. 45-year-old Sabina Acharya of Lalitpur Metropolitan Municipality 10 was seriously injured and her 10-year-old son Bhabimay Acharya was also injured. On Monday morning, a jeep numbered May 1J 3011, which was going to Pathibhara with passengers, caught fire and crashed after touching a wire hanging from an electric pole at Sevaro Chowk in Pathibhara area.
