Forest and Environment Minister Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri has said that 'Sagarmatha Dialogue 2025' is not just a formal discussion but an opportunity to demonstrate Nepal's hospitality, management capacity and environmental leadership.

"We have prepared a special mountain flight to the Everest region from the arrival of the guests, accommodation, security and reception to high-level guests from abroad, including heads of state, ministers, subject experts, policy makers and international representatives," he said. Nepal has invited more than 450 foreign guests to participate in the

dialogue. Also, he said, the goal is to directly experience the sensitivity and beauty of Nepal's Himalayan region through the dialogue.

In the first edition of the dialogue to be held on June 2, 3 and 4, the Ministry of Forestry is playing a leading role and is taking the lead in efforts to put the issue of climate crisis emerging in mountainous countries like Nepal and small island nations together and bring it to the center of international discussion.

"During the discussion through dialogue, the ultimate goal is to maintain the coexistence between nature and humanity and save humanity by minimizing and managing the effects of climate change," he said, "this combination will strengthen the Everest dialogue in terms of both vision and implementation."
