In Taplejung, four people were killed when a jeep hit an electric wire on the road. Two more people were seriously injured in the accident.

A Jeep No. May 1J 3011, which was going towards Pathibhara with passengers, met with an accident at Sevaro Chowk in Pathibhara area this morning. Ravi Rawal, Deputy Superintendent of Police of District Police Office, Taplejung informed that the fire started after the jeep touched the wire hanging from the electric pole and the accident occurred.

According to him, four people, two men and two women, died on the spot, while two injured were brought to the district hospital for treatment. They are mother and son. Mother's condition is critical. Rawal informed that they are trying to get a helicopter to take him for further treatment. His 10-year-old son is also undergoing treatment.

The jeep left the headquarters at Fungling around 5 am with passengers. According to the locals, the bodies of the four people who died in the accident are in an unrecognizable state. Their identities have not been revealed.
