The sub-committee formed under the State Order and Good Governance Committee has informally agreed between the parties participating in the State Order and Good Governance not to implement the provisions that have been concluded to provide pension facilities even though the civil servants have been found guilty of moral corruption and corruption after their retirement.
Chairman of the committee Ramhari Khatiwada said that a formal decision will be taken at the meeting of the committee on Monday.
The committee formed a sub-committee under the coordination of Congress MP Dile Prasad Badu after studying the civil law bill and submitting a report. The same sub-committee had submitted a report to the committee on corruption, coercion, human trafficking, crime against the state, etc., even though he was found guilty by the court of moral corruption.
The sub-committee had removed the provision 'regarding non-receipt of pension' in section 68 of the original Act. With the removal of this provision, the sub-committee opened the way for retired employees to be given pension even if they were found guilty of such a crime.
Kantipur had published a detailed news on this matter on Sunday. In the state order and good governance committee held today, an informal meeting of members including Chairman Ramhari Khatiwada agreed to keep the provisions of section 68 of the original bill. Chairman Khatiwada said that Monday's meeting will finalize it.
