Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba appointed Deputy Chairman and Head of Central Policy, Research and Training Institute Purna Bahadur Khadka as Acting Chairman.

Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Poudel informed that Khadka has been appointed acting chairman of the party until Chairman Deuba has left the country as per the constitution of the party.
