Congress Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba left for Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday afternoon for medical treatment. Although he underwent eye and stomach treatment in Singapore, this time he went to Thailand for 'follow-up'. Deuba used to go to Singapore for health follow-up every two/three years.

Along with Deuba, Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba has also gone to Thailand. Arju will participate in the 81st session of the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific, which will start from Monday in Thailand.

According to family sources, Deuba's follow-up is going to be done there as the doctor who is looking at him in Singapore is in Bangkok. However, when dissatisfaction is growing within the Congress, it is estimated that Deuba may even hold political meetings while he is there.

Deuba will stay in Bangkok for a week. His personal secretary Bhanu Deuba and his son Jaybirsingh Deuba are also with him. Deuba has given the party's caretaker responsibility to Deputy Chairman Purna Bahadur Khadka.
