Poudel, a Kantipur worker, was honored with a certificate of appreciation and a cash prize at the 2080/81 Annual General Meeting of the Association and the 2082/85 newly elected Executive Committee. Senior advocate Krishna Prasad Bhandari and President of Nepal Bar Association Gopalkrishna Ghimire presented the award to him.
