Foreign Minister Arju Rana has said that necessary initiatives will be taken for the border and roads. On Friday, she reached Tatopani on the border with China from Bhotekosi Rural Municipality-2 and said this while inaugurating the bathroom building built on the Tatopani stream.
"I didn't get a chance to see the border before. I came here once 54 years ago, but I saw the condition of the road. I will talk to the Minister of Physical Affairs about it and move forward," she said.
Even though the Chinese company CRCC has reconstructed and upgraded the roads, the local people are upset because the condition of the road has become dilapidated. After they complained to the Minister, Minister Rana assured that she would pressurize the Physical Minister and the concerned parties regarding the road.
Zhangmu area security personnel and official representatives who came from China welcomed him and others. Foreign Minister Rana came down to Tatopani by helicopter. Soon after, she inspected the Nepal-China border area .
According to Kumar Shrestha, president of Bhotekoshi-2, the Bhotekosi rural municipality has prepared a bath with its own investment targeting tourists and pilgrims visiting the Nepal-China border. He said that the construction of two concrete buildings has been completed at a cost of 6 crores. He informed that the garden, swimming pool and other structures are yet to be built.
There are seven ancient streams visible outside in Tatopani . At present, 47 bathtubs have been constructed in the new building. In the season from October to March, up to 1,000 tourists visit Seemanaka every day by taking a bath in the hot spring. Even in the off-season, hundreds of tourists reach Tatopani every day. Tourists and devotees will be able to bathe easily after the hot water stream is arranged.
In the place where there is a source of natural hot water, domestic and foreign tourists come to the hot water stream for bathing since ancient times. Bathing in hot water is believed to cure skin and bone diseases. Tourists from China and India come here.
