Sumana Shrestha, joint general minister of RSVP, has resigned from the post saying that one person should be implemented in the party. She has also informed about the resignation of the Joint General Minister in the Thursday meeting of the RSVP Central Committee.

Shrestha said that the Executive Chairman DP Aryal replied that they will discuss and decide to accept/reject the resignation. Shrestha submitted her resignation to the chairman Ravi Lamichhane 15 days ago. However, no further action was taken regarding Shrestha's resignation after he was arrested by the order of the High Court in Lamichhane co-operative fraud.

She has made it clear that she has not abandoned the RSVP even though she has resigned from the post of joint general minister of the party. She has pointed out the reason for resigning.
