A Dalit girl, who stopped going to school three years ago due to the fear of being subjected to sexual violence again, has been found dead. 18-year-old Pooja Kumari of Surunga-7 Haripur Ramtol of Saptari was found dead on Tuesday at a place called Tingachiyan, one kilometer south-east from Ram Ghar.
Pooja's dead body was found in the morning after she went missing from home at night. Mother Ramavati Devi filed a complaint at the local police office in Kadarbona on Wednesday saying that Pooja was murdered. After the
incident, Saptari Police Chief SP Dhakendra Khatiwada informed that the investigation was carried out with the help of a trained dog brought from the state police office Janakpurdham. "In the initial investigation, it is suspected that the girl was murdered, the post-mortem report has not yet arrived," he said.

After the suspicious death of Pooja, the police arrested a teenager who was found guilty of forced labor industry from the village on Tuesday. "We have arrested the juvenile who was sentenced in that case and who was suspected in the latest incident as well," said Superintendent of Police Khatiwada.
