Heavy rains in Humla: Floods destroyed houses, livestock died

Floods and landslides have caused damage in Humla after Thursday morning's rain. Narayan Pandey, the chief district officer of Humla, informed that there was damage caused by rain in Ward No. 2 and 3 of Adanchuli Rural Municipality.

In a conversation with Kantipur, Chief District Officer Pandey said, 'It rained heavily in Adanchuli-2 and 3 this morning. Preliminary information has come that some houses have also been damaged. The work of collecting details of the damage is being done .

According to Pandey, the warehouse of Food Management and Trade Company Limited between Ward No. 2 and 3 has also been damaged by water. According to him, although the rice in the warehouse has been moved to a safe place, the bags of rice in the lower wave are still wet.

Rural Municipality Chairman Mohanvikram Singh's rural municipality office is also at risk of landslides. He said, about 100 sheep and goats have died. Likewise, some houses have been destroyed to the point of being uninhabitable. Shops have also been damaged.' According to him, although there was heavy rain for a while in the morning, it is decreasing now.
