Congress General Minister Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that the government has not been able to meet the expectations of the citizens.

Addressing a program held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, he claimed that after the two major political parties formed the government, he expected to speed up the work of development and construction by bringing changes in the constitution.

General Minister Thapa said, 'What we thought was that after two big parties form the government, we will immediately start making some changes in the constitution. We will make extensive reforms especially in governance. Personally, when I say that I have to take some role this time, I do not sit in the government and take a role, but I personally work in 'war footing' regarding the things that will make this government successful, this government will give results, I am ready to take risks and be scolded personally, because now I have to work. Results must be given, responsibility must also be taken.'

He said that the government is moving at the speed of a tractor even though it is expected that the government will work with emphasis on improving government operations and promoting good governance. Chief Minister Thapa admitted that the government could not work according to the speed of the citizens' expectations.

He said, 'Especially to work on the 'economic front'. That's why they plowed and worked at the initial stage. It is also thought that many things will change with enthusiasm. But what is slowly starting to happen is that the country needs the speed of 'Concord'. One today, one tomorrow, one the day after tomorrow, an atmosphere will have to be created, that it has been good here. The government is at the speed of a tractor. Work has not been done according to the speed of people's expectations. The speed could not be caught.

General Minister Thapa accused that although work should be done at the war level, the work could not be done from the leadership level .
