Bisu festival was celebrated in Kathmandu

On the first day of the new year 2082, Bisu Festival is celebrated in Far West Province as well as in Kathmandu. Residents of Kathmandu from various districts of Far West and Karnali provinces celebrated Bisu Festival in a program organized by Deuda Samaj at Pragya Pratishthan in Kamaladi. Deuda society has organized Deuda game and appreciation program on the occasion of Bisu festival.

Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba said that the Bisu festival celebrated on 1st of Baisakh in Far West is an opportunity to meet and exchange feelings and ideas and said that all parties should work together to preserve language and culture. Deuba has expressed concern that the language of the Far West is disappearing. 

He said that initiatives should be taken through Deuda and other cultural and social programs to preserve the languages ​​of the Far West. He said that if the language can be kept alive, the identity of Far West can also be maintained. "If we are able to keep our language alive, the far west will be identified," he said. 

Congress MP and former Foreign Minister NP Saud said that in order to promote the culture of Far West, Bisu festival and other festivals should be organized in Kathmandu. 

President of Deuda Society Nandakrishna Joshi said that Deuda is a culture of far west. He said that the various arts of Far West and Karnali have yet to be promoted.   Writer Maheshvikram Shah and Krishna Kandel of Indreni program were felicitated in the
