In recent days, earthquakes have been happening continuously with various places in Jajarkot district as the focal point. According to the National Earthquake Measurement and Research Center, an earthquake of magnitude 4.4 occurred at 4:53 am on Tuesday morning with Pank as its epicenter. An earthquake of 4.1 magnitude occurred with Pank as its epicenter only on Monday night at 9:31 PM.
No information has been received about whether or not there was any damage due to the earthquake that took place in Pank of Kushe Rural Municipality. According to the
center, there were two earthquakes in the evening of March 21 (8.07) and (8.10) with the epicenter at the same place. The first earthquake was 5.2 magnitude and the second earthquake was 5.5 magnitude. Due to the earthquake, some houses suffered minor damage.
Similarly, an earthquake of magnitude four occurred in Darchula on March 20. According to Earthquake Measurement Center, an earthquake of magnitude 4.5 occurred with Humla as its epicenter on March 12.
