Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed concern over the disappearance of the languages of the Far West. He urged everyone to take initiative to preserve the language and culture.

On the occasion of New Year, Deuda Society organized a program at Pragya Foundation in Kathmandu on Monday. Chairman Deuba said that there is a concern that the language will disappear if the new generation of Far West starts speaking only Nepali and English. "The language of the Far West is almost disappearing". No one speaks the language of their West. Everyone speaks Nepali, but sometimes they speak pure English, it has become like this,' said Deuba, 'because of this, the language is disappearing . Language is a big thing . It is said that the language of the country and society is lost, that society itself becomes weak and fragmented. That's why they are working to save their language all over the world.'

Chairman Deuba said that initiatives should be taken through cultural and social programs including Deuba to preserve the languages of the Far West. He was of the opinion that if the language can be kept alive, the identity of the Far West can also be maintained. "If we are able to keep our language alive, the far west will be identified," he said.

Chairman Deuba said that the clothes of Far West are also disappearing . He said that the cultural dress is about to disappear due to the arrival of new fashion in the society . He said that it is not acceptable to pressure someone to wear only such clothes.

Stating that the Bisu festival celebrated on 1st of Baisakh in Far West is an opportunity to meet and exchange conversations with each other, Deuba urged all parties to preserve the language and culture of Far West.
