Leaders including RPP President Rajendra Lingden have met the family of late journalist Suresh Rajak. Rajak was burned to death while taking photos/videos of the Rajawadi demonstration on Chait 15 in Tinkune, Kathmandu.

A team including President Lingden and Speaker of Bagmati Province Bhuvan Pathak arrived at Rajak's residence Tahachal .

President Lingden said that it was decided to form a judicial commission to investigate the truth of the incident from the party meeting. He said that he is raising this issue in the parliament and on the streets and will continue to raise it .

RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha has informed that Rajak's family has demanded to be declared a martyr. "Suresh's family has raised the issue that he should be declared a martyr and a judicial commission should be formed to investigate the truth of the incident," he mentioned.

On Chait 15th, Rajak, a journalist of Avenues TV, was burnt to death when the royalist protestors led by Navraj Subedi, Durga Prasain and others set fire to Tinkune's house. Savin Maharjan of Kirtipur also lost his life due to police firing. Journalist Rajak was taking photos/videos of the demonstration from inside the house when the house was set on fire from outside.

After the incident, the police did not allow Subedi to leave the house, while Prasai was arrested and brought from India. Rabindra Mishra, Senior Vice President of RPP and General Minister Dhavalshamsher Jabara, who led the demonstration, were arrested by the police on Chait 15.
