The Rashtriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has submitted a letter to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights stating that the state suppressed the demonstration in Kathmandu on March 15.

In the letter signed by the party president Rajendra Lingden, it has been mentioned that the security personnel fired indiscriminately on the peaceful protestors and it was a serious violation of human rights. It is mentioned in the letter that their leaders and supporters were arrested and imprisoned without any reason. It has also been demanded to immediately withdraw the allegation as baseless.

RAPPA General Minister Sharadraj Pathak informed that on Friday, RAPPA's delegation reached the office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Lalitpur and handed over the letter to Raghu Menon, the human rights officer for the Asia Pacific region.
