Ravi Lamichhane in the Supreme Court against the High Court's order to send him to prison

Ravi Lamichhane, president of the RSVP, has filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the order of the High Court Tulsipur, Butwal bench to send him to prison. On Friday, Lamichhane's wife Nikita Paudel, RSVP co-spokesperson Pratibha Rawal and lawyer Narayan Kandel reached the Supreme Court and registered it.

According to Supreme Court Information Officer Sub-Registrar Nirajan Pandey, Lamichhane's application has been registered. The hearing of the petition is scheduled for Sunday.  

On the 22nd of March, the High Court Tulsipur, Butwal, overruled the decision of the District Court Rupandehi and ordered Lamichhane to be remanded in custody.  Currently Lamichhane is in Rupandehi prison as a prisoner.
